Before performing the speed test, make certain that you have no other programs running (on the computer where you will be running the test or other computers or devices connected to your DSL network) that are consuming bandwidth - as this can severely affect your results. To begin your Eastex Net Speed Test, please click the Begin Test button in the center of the graphic below.

Dial-up Customers: This test is designed for DSL connections. Attempted use of this test by a dial-up connected computer may fail or give unreliable results. Dial-up connection speeds can be determined by mousing over the Dial-up Networking Icon in your System Tray (the icon is a small pair of computer screens which are near the clock display) on your computer.

Speed Test requires at least version 8 of Flash. Please update your client.

The speed results shown above includes the loss due to overhead which occurs with all data connections. Your results will be approximately 80% of your subscribed DSL package's advertised speed. This is typical of all DSL connections. Should you wish to research this information, please feel free to use your favorite search engine and search the Internet for "DSL speed loss due to overhead".

If your test falls far below 80% of your subscribed speed package, please make a note of and include in your e-mail to us - Your IP: which is displayed within the speed test graphic (above), then copy and past into your e-mail the portion of text which shows your Last Result:. This text is directly below the speed test graphic (above) and includes Download Speed, Upload Speed, and the date of the test.
