Mary Lou's Life

I was born Mary Lou Williams at home in Brown County, Texas, on April 19, 1933. I was a twin, and part of a family of six children. My parents were M. O. (Buck) & Effie Williams (who are pictured below). I started school in Pioneer, Texas. That school no longer exists, nor does much of the community.

During my Junior High School years, my father secured employment in the oil fields in Byron, Wyoming. It was there that I finished my high school years, graduating in 1950. Shortly after graduation I was married to Leroy Sedgwick. The marriage took place in the County Courthouse in Red Lodge, Montana. (A picture of that courthouse can be seen elsewhere on these pages.)
