WE'RE BEING MANIPULATED

The movie industry (and by that I mean the T.V. industry, as well) pays the American public no compliment! I have read and heard so often that Hollywood gives the American movie-going public what it wants, which accounts for the sex, violence, crime, unhappy home situations, etc., being portrayed on the movie screens of our country. They, we are told, are simply catering to and pandering to the wide-ranging prurient interests of the American populace. It's not that way at all! They give viewers what their (Hollywood's) amoral, secular humanistic philosophy finds totally acceptable and what fills their coffers

Approximately four years ago, on the car radio (wouldn't you know I would not have paper and pencil handy?) there was a report of a very recent and reputable poll/survey taken which gauged Hollywood's (producers, writers, directors, actors, etc.) feeling about promiscuity, adultery, extra-marital affairs, homosexuality, violence, deviate lifestyles, etc. The pollsters asked the same things of a wide-ranging segment of the general population. The difference in opinion was astounding. The two groups' thinking and feelings were nowhere near in agreement. Hollywood's approval of the pornographic, deviate sexual activity, violence, questionable alternate lifestyles, etc., in every catagory - was so much greater than that of the general population that it was amazing and frightening.

QUESTION: Are they (Hollywood) giving us what we want or what they want?
QUESTION: Is Hollywood, in the name of entertainment, subtly and effectively educating us to think like they think and approve of the sleaze, decadence, and moral filth as they do?
QUESTION: Is the movie industry teaching us to accept the degradation of the home, the denigration of healthy values, homosexuality, violence, pornography, and such liek, all in the name of art"
QUESTION: Are they not leaving our children (and us) with the idea that such is normal and everybody's doing it, so it must be all right for them (our children) to do it and be in step their peers?
QUESTION: Is Hollywood in the clean, wholesome entertainment business?
QUESTION: Does Hollywood produce movies because they are in our best interests, or do they, out of a bottom line mentality, produce them simply because they are in their own best interests?

Just who is being used and duped by the devil? You and I when we support this industry! Just who is being manipulated? You and I when we find the stench of their immoral garbage pleasing! Just who is being taken for a ride? You and I when we pay our hard-earned money for such filth without giving it a second thought! Just who is it that dinds you and me patsies and who is it that holds you and me, our morals, and our well-being in such contempt? HOLLYWOOD!

Just wondering ... how many Christians, young, old, or in between, give more of their money to this kind of entertainment (?) than they do to the Lord? Christians, wake up!
