Zechariah
4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is
the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by
power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Zechariah 4:10 For who
hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and
shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they
are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and
the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than
men.
Acts 5:34-39 Then stood
there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of
the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put
the apostles forth a little space; And said unto them, Ye men of
Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these
men. For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be
somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined
themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were
scattered, and brought to nought. After this man rose up Judas of
Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him:
he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were
dispersed. And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and
let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will
come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply
ye be found even to fight against God.
Acts 17:24-29 God that
made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven
and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is
worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he
giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one
blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and
hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their
habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel
after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For
in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your
own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as
we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is
like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
1 Corinthians 12:28-29 And
God
hath
set
some
in
the
church,
first
apostles,
secondarily
prophets,
thirdly
teachers,
after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps,
governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all
prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
Ephesians 2:19-22 Now
therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens
with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the
foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the
chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together
groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded
together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Ephesians 4:11-16 And he
gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and
some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the
work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we
all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of
God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness
of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed
to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the
sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to
deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all
things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body
fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint
supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every
part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Hebrews 3:1-2 Wherefore,
holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle
and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to
him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
