Speed Test
The Eastex Net speed test is used to determine connection speeds between your modem and our equipment. The Internet is a vast network of computers and other networks, all which contribute to the overall speed at which you receive information from web sites. Therefore, speeds determined at external web sites (such as PCPitstop.com) are not accurate for determining the Eastex Net quality of service.
Before performing the test, please make certain that you DO NOT have any other programs running which require bandwidth to or from the Internet during these tests, as the bandwidth being consumed by those programs will affect your test results.
When you perform the test, make note of the speed result (in kbits) and perform the test at least three times to obtain an average. If the results are not within an acceptable margin to the speed you are subscribed to, then you will need to provide all three of the results (in kbits) to Eastex Net when contacting us.
